Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP)
PEPP Courses for Prehospital Emergency Care
The Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) online renewal course provides an alternative blended learning experience for prehospital care professionals interested in renewing their PEPP certification and maintaining the necessary continuing education credits. PEPP is the American Academy of Pediatrics’ (AAP) definitive source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children.
PEPP is designed to provide professionals seeking online an renewal course in prehospital emergency care with the education, skills, and confidence they need to effectively treat pediatric patients. Developed by the AAP, PEPP specifically teaches prehospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children.
KCE, in partnership with Jones and Bartlett Publishers and their medical publishing partner, AAP, offers the PEPP courses online in a customized format for both advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) providers.
Students receive an acknowledgement upon successful completion of the knowledge components and the written exam, but they do not receive a course completion card until they have completed the skills portion of the course with an instructor. The recertification of PEPP is accomplished with the completion of the online classes and the skills section with an instructor.
